CARPET​

​

There are carpet tiles on the Mezzanine, Ground Level and Gallery Hall at the BDC.

 

Exhibitors/Contractors wishing to build stands must ensure that adequate precautions are taken to protect the carpet from damage. You will be required to lay a wooden floor/platform before any additional floorcovering is used. This must also be finished with metal/plastic edging trim.

Stand carpet must not be laid or fixed directly to the BDC fitted carpet.  Any damage caused during the tenancy will be charged to the Exhibitor at a cost of £25.00 + VAT per tile.

CAR PARKING

​

There is a payable car park adjacent to the venue with 250 spaces. Please note there is a 1.9m height restriction.

CATERING 

​

It is highly recommended that any food or drinks, alcoholic or otherwise be purchased through Good Eating Company (GEC) the venue caterers.  They have kitchens on-site with the correct provisions and can also handle any serviceware required.  

​

If you are intending on bringing external catering or beverages (alcoholic or otherwise) there will be a concession charge from GEC - guidance on this can be found here please contact operationsbdc@goodeatingcompany.com for further information.  GEC visit the show floor and action the fees on the spot if they have not been arranged in advance. 

​

Any exhibitors giving away or sampling food or drinks at the show should request permission from the Organisers and venue caterers.  Please complete this activations application to apply for this permission and we will be in touch with the next steps. 

​

Please note, no external catering is permitted at the event unless prior consent has been granted by GEC and  the Organisers.

CHILDREN

​

Children under the age of 16 (including babies and toddlers) are NOT permitted in the hall at any time during build-up or breakdown. The hall is a building site and can be hazardous during these times. This is a requirement of the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and also applies to exhibitors’ children.

 

This ruling is in place to protect children’s safety and no exceptions can be made to this. Nor are they to be left in vehicles in the surrounding areas.

CLEANING

​

The hall is cleaned each evening including basic stand cleaning.  Any rubbish is to be placed into the aisles at the end of each show day, please ensure that there is no excessive mess within your stand or a charge will be issued for it's removal

 

Please ensure that all stand items and materials are removed at the end of the tenancy.  A charge will be incurred for any items left within the halls.
