Exhibitors and contractors can access the hall from the following times.  Please note halls will close 30 minutes after the event closes to the public and will open at 08:00 each morning for exhibitor re-stocking.

ELECTRICITY WILL BE CUT TO STANDS 15 MINUTES AFTER THE SHOW CLOSES TO THE PUBLIC ON EACH OPEN DAY.  PLEASE NOTIFY THE ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR SHOULD YOU REQUIRE 24HR POWER OR SHOULD YOU NEED POWER AFTER 18:15 ON 21ST MAY.

EXHIBITORS ARE REMINDED THAT THERE IS NO ACCESS BACK INTO THE HALLS AFTER 22:00 ON 21ST MAY FOR SHELL SCHEME EXHIBITORS AND 12:00 ON 22ND MAY FOR SPACE ONLY STANDS. EVERYTHING MUST BE TAKEN WITH YOU OR COLLECTED BEFORE THESE TIMES.  ANY ITEMS LEFT WILL BE DEEMED AS RUBBISH AND YOU MAY BE CHARGED.

Build-up and Breakdown procedures

In addition:

​

• Hi-Vis vests must be worn during the build up and breakdown process and at all times when in the loading areas.  Contractors and Exhibitors will need to bring vests with them upon arrival to gain access to the venue.  These can be purchased for £10 from the BDC service desk.

• Stands must be completed with all excess products and materials removed from the hall no later than 20.00 on Tuesday 19th May.

• Vehicles will not be able to gain access to the halls during show open hours all deliveries which are made during show open hours will have to be hand carried from the pavement outside.  Deliveries to hall will cease 30 minutes before the show opens to the public on each open morning. 

• Exhibitors should take care to ensure that their goods are safeguarded. Particularly during build up and breakdown.

• All corridors and Fire Exits are left clear to ensure access is maintained at all times.

• Appropriate footwear must be worn – open toes shoes are NOT permitted during build-up or break-down.

• As laid out in the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, under NO circumstances are children of 16 and under (including babes in arms and toddlers) allowed in the venue during the build-up or breakdown.

​Delivery & removal of goods

​

Please arrange items to be delivered to your stand at times when you will be there to receive them as the Organisers and venue staff cannot sign for or take responsibility for deliveries.  Deliveries to the side of the hall will cease 30 minutes before the show opens to the public on each open morning.

Important Procedures for Vehicle Access to the Exhibition

 

ACCESS FOR ALL VEHICLES - INCLUDING COURIERS ALL TRAFFIC movement is managed by the traffic marshals.  

 

Build-up

To ensure speedy and easy access ALL vehicles accessing the hall MUST have a valid vehicle pass.  Click here to register for a vehicle pass.  All stock and materials should be unloaded as quickly as possible and vehicle removed to the relevant car park.

Open Period

Any exhibitor restocking is to be done in the morning prior to show open. Once the show is open each day there is a strict no trolleys policy so any deliveries must be hand carried to your stand. There is also no vehicle access on the front forecourt or rear loading bay once the show is open as all vehicle doors and exits must be kept clear.

Breakdown

Will commence once ALL delegates have vacated the hall. Small vehicles will have priority to access once the show has closed.
